WELCOME   to   the   Garrick’s   2015   season   ...   and   our   70th   anniversary.   Each   year   we   strive   to   fill   your   summer   with fantastic   music   performed   by   many   of   the   province’s   finest   artists.   But   this   year,   we   think   we   have   outdone ourselves!   The   2015   Saturday   Summer   Music   Series   (SSMS)   is   our   biggest   yet   with   19   shows   over   17   consecutive weekends.   We   have   also   added   a   new   mid-week   series   we   are   calling   Wednesdays   on   Church   (WoC).   Presented on   nine   Wednesdays   in   July   and August   on   the   Garrick’s Annex   stage,   it   offers   outstanding   solo   artists   and   duos   in an    intimate    setting.    In    addition,    Live    on    the    Lawn    returns    this    summer    with    five    free    afternoon    concerts    at Mockbeggar   Plantation   Provincial   Historic   Site   and   Ryan   Premises   National   Historic   Site.   Include   the   opening performers   for   SSMS   -   many   of   them   young   musicians   from   the   area   -   and   the   total   number   of   acts   participating   in our 2015 season rings in at 50. As   always,   this   programming   would   not   be   possible   without   the   generosity   of   our   sponsors,   donors   and   regular patrons.   There   are   many   new   supporters   this   year   and   we   are   pleased   to   welcome   each   of   them   on   board.   Your support   is   greatly   appreciated.   We   must   make   special   mention   of   Fisher’s   Loft,   for   its   exceptional   support   each   year of Opera on the Avalon, and the Town of Bonavista, which provides the Garrick with a vital annual operating grant.
