The paths of Nova Scotian funeral director turned songwriter Terra Spencer and lively Newfoundland duo Youngtree and Carole Bee converged at a music festival in summer 2022, when they discovered a shared love of songs exploring the darker side of life and the lighter side of death. Their combined forces promise an evening that runs the gamut from tender storytelling to lively instrumentals to quick witted confessionals, first presented last year with a week long tour in Nova Scotia, now coming for a summer run around Newfoundland.

Andrew Rodgers is a singer-songwriter based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Andrew is also a founding member of the band, Fairgale who has shared the stage with musical luminaries including: Arkells, Lights, Melissa Etheridge, Blue Rodeo, Sloan. Fairgale has even performed with Trooper & Bryan Adams during a rendition of Trooper’s classic hit, “We’re Here For a Good Time (Not a Long Time)”, at the 2018 George Street Festival. The band is looking forward to playing the main stage of The Sommo Festival in PEI on September 14, 2024 where they will open a show headlined by Greta Van Fleet.In 2023, Fairgale took home MusicNL’s Rock Artist of the Year and the group’s latest album, “The Way It Was Before”, was nominated for Rock Recording of the Year at the 2024 ECMAs held in PEI.

Andrew has recently announced his first solo tour of the East Coast through the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2024; which includes seventeen dates in Newfoundland alone. 

To date, Andrew has released four tracks which have been streamed over 45,000 times and counting. “Downtown” has received extensive radio play on community stations across the country and even made it to #7 on Newfoundland’s 103.9 New Country FM’s “10 Most Wanted List”.  A full length album is coming in July of 2024. The Garrick Theatre presents our side door music series, Fridays On Church. Our first group of the 2024 season is Best Kind Trio. The band consists of 3 local residents of Bonavista, Sandra White, Harvey Mouland and Keith Elliott. The Trio brings together music of all genres and you will be in for a treat.

$10 Tickets. Tickets are only sold on the door. Cannot be purchased in advance.

No reserving of seats. First come, first served.
